Tymo Curl Pro Plus Review – Amazing, Easy Curly Hair

Do any of you struggle to curl your hair? I do! I really struggle to use a curling iron, especially at the back of my head. There was a period of time when I could curl with straighteners, but none of that is easy, especially if you have super-thick hair.

I had been seeing a lot of videos on Instagram, featuring the TYMO Curl Pro Plus, and it looked amazing. I was completely skeptical of it at first, though, thinking it was just a gimmick that wouldn’t work, or would tangle your hair up and rip it out, etc. I spent a lot of time looking for demonstrations and reviews. I quickly found out that there’s no possible way it can tangle your hair, because as soon as it senses there’s too much hair, or knotted hair, in the barrel, it stops and rejects it.

Then something cool happened, TYMO reached out to me not long after this, and now here I am, creating this blog post with one of the coolest hair curling tools I have ever used! I’m not trying to make this into something special about having a disability, but having Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome means I really do struggle with styling my hair these days. I can only do it on good days, and curls are getting more difficult, but this TYMO Curl Pro Plus has changed that game, as it requires minimal effort. Similar to the Dyson Air Wrap.

I’ve included a YouTube short that I made below, showing you exactly how easy it is to use it, which I hope you find helpful! You literally take your section of hair, place it into the split section at the top, press the button to spin it, press it again to stop it, then wait around 5 seconds for it to beep before you pull it off your hair. It’s THAT simple, and I’m not even making it up, as you can see from the video.

The TYMO Curl Pro Plus is for all hair types and lengths, which is great. But here are the specific things that make it stand out as a great curling tool:

  • One of the best things for me is that it has a dual voltage, meaning you can take it on your travels and use it with different power outlets.
  • There are 3 different temperatures as well, so it’s suitable for fine, damaged hair on a lower setting, and thick, coarse hair on a higher setting.
  • The tool contains 600 million negative ions and a T-GLOSS ceramic coating on the 1-inch barrel. This makes your hair shiny and glossy.
  • The heat inside the tool is protected by a plastic casing, so you can’t accidentally burn yourself like you can on the open plates of a curling iron or straightener. It’s pretty foolproof!
  • You can use the button to switch directions of the spin, so the curls don’t only go in one direction; you can do either side of your head equally.

I love the fact that it’s a beautiful champagne gold colour too! That suits my colour scheme!

As you can see from the pictures and the video, it creates some really bouncy curls! You can obviously leave them this way and have tighter curls, or you can loosely brush them out with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb to create some looser waves, which is also a pretty look.

My hair is so thick that I tend to prefer looser waves, otherwise it will be really bushy and wide. My own hair is naturally curly at the back too, but the fronts are more on the straight, slightly wavy side, so I usually focus mainly on the fronts and top of my hair when I’m curling it.

I will say that my hair is naturally frizzy too because of the coarse curls that it naturally has, and with my current health issues with my digestive system, it’s looking even more frizzy. So keep that in mind with my pictures!

So, for anyone looking for easy curls, it really doesn’t get any easier than this! I’m literally obsessed with this TYMO Curl Pro Plus at the moment. Anything easy for my hairstyling is a bonus for me right now. And it literally doesn’t get any easier than this when it comes to curls. I’m pretty sure you could have anyone help you with the back as well; it’s that easy! Have any of you tried this out?

Yeah, it’s sped up in the video, but it’s 5 seconds ish, might even be a little quicker! It’s not long at all 🙂
