Brown Faux Fur Jacket With A Mini Skirt
Happy Friday, everyone! We shot these photos back in December, but I didn’t get around to sharing them yet, so here they are! Just in time for the wintery months to turn into spring. It was really warm today, so it won’t be long before it’s summer! How are you all doing? I did give a little health update on my Instagram recently, but not much has changed on that front. I’m still going through testing and trying to find answers, so there’s not much to update at the moment.
I’m actually really looking forward to the spring weather and dressing in fewer layers. It’s funny because autumn always used to be my favourite season, but now I think it’s my second. There’s just something about spring that I’ve noticed lately that is so welcoming; it’s like a wash of relief to know that the flowers are blooming and the warmer weather is coming. It’s made me smile hearing the birds sing and watching the sunsets that have been happening later and later.
For this look, I was wearing everything from New Look, except the bag. So the Brown Faux Fur Coat is from that brand, along with the Brown Knit and the Plaid Skirt, even though that’s by the brand Blue Vanilla, sold on New Look. The Brown Suede Boots are also New Look! You saw these boots in previous posts, and as they have a narrow calf fit, they fit me perfectly. I love them! I then finished off the outfit with my Celine Teen Triomphe in Bronze. I think it was the perfect addition to round off the shades of brown here.
I have this faux fur coat in three colours, so this brown, a plum shade, and a beige cream type of colour. I absolutely love them, and they’re so warm! They kept me toasty during those freezing weeks we had here in the UK. Although I then get too hot, so I have to take it off sometimes, ha ha. I’ve worn these knits all the time too, as I own them in about 5 colours. They’re great! I definitely recommend them!
I haven’t been buying hardly any new clothes at all since December. I think I only got 4 items in the last 3 months. 3 of which were gifts, so I only purchased 1 piece myself. I’ve been trying to save up a lot of money for my hospital testing, as I’ve gone private in the UK as the NHS just takes too long. It’s just super expensive! I’m also trying to be more conscious of what I own and actually try to wear it, as I’m trying to contribute less to fast fashion and clothing buying in general.
Here’s a close-up of my Celine Teen Triomphe, too. Isn’t she pretty? I love this bag! However, I don’t know how any of you will take this information, but I’m done with the designer/luxury world. I may do a post dedicated to why, but I will no longer be buying any designer pieces, and I feel really good about that. The brands I mean are YSL, Celine, etc. This may come as a shock since I was always so passionate about designer bags, but I’ve definitely moved on from this. Anyway, please let me know what you think of this outfit.

You are very welcome, Lorna, hugs! 💕🌹
Spring is such a pretty time of the year! I’ve got beautiful cherry blossom trees near me. Lovely outfit, all the browns and mix of texture work so well together. I’ll never know how a skirt keeps one warm in winter though! I can’t be live you still don’t answers for your health issues, I hope you get them soon. 🤞 I hope you do write that post about your buying changes, I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one to find that interesting. 🙂
