Styling 2 Lighthouse Winter Coats And A Fleece
I’m back with my second blog post for my Lighthouse collaboration! Just in case you missed the first post (you can click here to view it), I wore two lots of rainwear, and for this post, I’m wearing two of their warm winter coats! Plus, something a little extra that I purchased with my own money.
For this first outfit, I’m wearing the Lighthouse Scarlet Coat in Rust. This is a waterproof mid-hip length coat with a soft faux fur lining, which is absolutely perfect for the colder weather! The faux fur is on the upper half of the coat, and there’s a quilted lower interior, to keep you super snug! The hood is also lined with the faux fur, and I can vouch for that being super soft and snuggly!
The outer of the Scarlet Coat is windproof, and features fully taped seams, to ensure that the rain stays out! This makes it highly waterproof up to 5,000mm! The good news is that it’s also breathable up to 5,000gsm to help regulate your temperature during changeable weather. Waterproof and breathable is a dream!
From a practical stand point, this coat features two front pockets, a zipped internal pocket, and a secure mobile phone pocket. Pockets are super important to me when it’s cold out, especially if it’s raining, as your important items stay dry, and you don’t have to get one of your favourite bags wet. I plan on wearing this coat a lot during this winter, that’s for sure!
The Lighthouse Scarlet costs £94.99, but you can get 15% off with my discount code Lorna15. It also comes in many other colours and I have to say that I do have my eye on the red version that’s on sale! How beautiful is this Rust colour though? I do think it’s my favourite out of all of the options. It’s a really warm undertoned brown, so its name is very fitting, and it’s super easy to style!
I paired this coat with a simple white knit from Hollister, my American Eagle black skinny jeans, and my older faux fur lined Dr. Martens to complete the brown colour scheme. I opted for visible, warm socks as well, as I often think this complements a winter outfit like this. It was extremely windy when we shot these photos, so it was definitely a suitable colder weather outfit!

Next up is this amazing Lighthouse Laurel Coat in Wild Rose! I am absolutely in love with this piece! I first fell in love with it because of the beautiful light pink colour, but then the comfort and lightweight feel of the jacket made me like it even more.
The Laurel is a mid-length padded coat with 300g of recycled Repreve™ synthetic insulation inside. It blends substance with style, giving you a relaxed fit and generous warmth. The water-repellent outer (up to 1,000mm) is made from durable nylon and finished with a fluorocarbon-free coating, so it’s going to keep you warm and dry in those lighter showers, but it’s not fully waterproof for heavy rain.
This coat also features a faux leather zip puller and brass detailing, finished off with a hood to keep you warm. There are popper closed front pockets, which is super practical, and perfect for the daily commute, weekend errands, and everything in between.
I will say that this coat does come up slightly big as it has a relaxed fit, so it’s definitely roomy up the top, but for me it was still quite snug in the hip area, so do keep that in mind if you have larger hips. Sticking to your normal size and wearing it with knitwear might work out better for you.
I’m wearing my Wild Rose Laurel Coat with my Hollister blue jeans, a simple white t-shirt, and my Golden Goose white trainers, with my Celine nano belt bag in pink, to match the coat. This is more of an autumn or spring look for me, but you can absolutely take this coat into the winter months too, as it’s very versatile. The colour is my favourite though – isn’t it just so feminine? There’s many other colours available though and it retails for £89.99.
Lastly, this isn’t part of my collaboration with Lighthouse, but I fell in love with this fleece so much that I decided to buy it. This is the Seashell Full Zip Sherpa Fleece in Sugar Coral. It was on sale for only £34.99 and coral is one of my top 3 favourite colours, so I couldn’t resist it! It’s an ultimate go-to for breezy days and cooler evenings. It’s a full-zip design with a snug funnel neck, finished off with two convenient front pockets, so it’s as functional as it is stylish.
It’s not waterproof as I just got caught out in the rain this weekend while wearing it, but it kept me very warm! The fleece material is super cosy and so soft! It’s almost like a snuggly blanket that you want to wrap yourself in, so I find myself reaching for it at home too.
The Sugar Coral colour is what led me to buy it though – it’s literally stunning in person! It’s that beautiful shade of pinky orange that’s really bright and cheery. Every time I look at this fleece hanging up, I smile. I definitely recommend it for the price too. It runs a little big compared to the coats, so do keep that in mind. I styled this fleece with a simple white t-shirt, American Eagle black skinny jeans, and my Golden Goose sneakers.

Yes! I totally agree! When practicality meets pretty, I’m all for it, ha ha!
thought I spied Dr. Martens! I love their boots! Yours paired wonderfully with the rust coat. The colours match the autumn leaves. The wild rose coat and your Celine bag were made for each other! The fleece looks super cozy, can see why you couldn’t resist! They are all great but if you’re asking for a favourite…I’m a sucker for Dr. Martens! Looks like you had a lot of fun with this collaboration. 🙂
